The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has expressed condolences to the United States on X platform regarding the tragic mid-air collision between a passenger plane and a helicopter, APA reports.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic mid-air collision between a passenger plane and a helicopter in Washington D.C. We convey our heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones and pray for the safety of the survivors," the Ministry noted.
Note that a passenger plane collided with a "Blackhawk" helicopter near Washington's Reagan National Airport and crashed into the Potomac River. The plane had 60 passengers and 4 crew members on board, while the helicopter carried 3 U.S. soldiers. According to local media, the bodies of 18 people have already been recovered from the Potomac River.
