The smuggling of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan told APA.
As a result of providing the reliable guarding of the State border, operational-troop measures held against the illegal turnover of smuggling, narcotics, psychotropic substances, and their precursors, on January 14 at 12:30, in the Horadiz border detachment area of State Border Service’s Border Troops entering the narcotics marijuana which is 37 kilograms 396 grams from the Iranian Islam Republic through smuggling into Azerbaijan has been prevented.
Operational and investigative measures are underway over the fact.
