Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has, in a decree, appointed Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani as his special envoy for Syrian affairs, the Iranian MFA has shared a post on its X accoun, APA reports.
The decree highlights the significance of Syria as a key country in West Asia and the importance of peace and stability in Syria for regional security.
It underscores the necessity to maintain Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as respecting the will and aspirations of the Syrian people to determine their own fate without foreign interference or presence.
