The US government plans to allow oil and gas production in the protected lands of Alaska again, US President Donald Trump has announced, APA reports citing Pravda.
According to him, the reserves of these fields will be able to meet the demand from all over Asia.
"The National Arctic Reserve can supply the whole of Asia," TASS quoted Trump as saying.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of the Canadian province of Ontario, Doug Ford, offered to buy Alaska from the United States.
