"Supply chains and conflicts in our region have made Türkiye, the South Caucasus, and the Middle Corridor the most reliable trade routes, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said during the opening ceremony of the second trilateral meeting between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan in Ankara, APA reports.
He noted that the energy crisis has increased the geostrategic importance of the South Caucasus and Central Asia, transforming Turkiye into an energy hub.
According to the minister, the three countries will prepare a ‘roadmap’ to deepen cooperation based on the outcomes of the meeting.
Hakan Fidan also emphasized that meetings in this format are an ideal platform for addressing projects aimed at strengthening the transport and energy connectivity between Turkestan, the South Caucasus, and Anatolia."
