Moscow notes good progress in the delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
He noted that Russia welcomes the agreements between Baku and Yerevan on the start of the delimitation and demarcation process between the two countries, starting from the borders with Georgia and moving south.
"Very great, good progress has been made. Part of the border has been delimited and demarcated. Now they (Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia Shahin Mustafayev and Mher Grigoryan - ed.), as far as I know, recently met. We have always welcomed such contacts and such joint work, because this will undoubtedly contribute to the stability of the region," Overchuk emphasized.
