“Landmines are still the biggest problem in liberated territories,” Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev stated at the “High-Level Strategic Prioritization” seminar on the “Framework Document on Cooperation between the UN and Azerbaijan for Sustainable Development (2026-2030)", APA reports.
“Azerbaijan is currently among the countries in the world suffering from mine pollution. The presence of the mine problem in Azerbaijan's long-occupied territories still remains one of the biggest obstacles for us,” he noted.
