The condition of a person infected with the monkeypox virus has been revealed, Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) said in response to APA's inquiry.
"The person infected with the monkeypox virus is receiving treatment in the appropriate medical institution, and their condition is currently assessed as stable," the statement says.
Note that a joint statement by the Ministry of Health and TABIB stated that between January 2-11, 2025, a 22-year-old Azerbaijani citizen traveled abroad for tourism and, a few days after returning, experienced symptoms such as weakness, fever, fluid-filled rashes in the genital area, swollen lymph nodes, and muscle pain. The person sought medical help at one of the clinics operating in Baku, where the monkeypox virus was detected.
